On April 12, the countryside cultural tourism festival and the 8th Jinxi Peach Blossom Festival took place in Tianjin's Wuqing district.
This 10-day event, focusing on the abundant resources of Jinxi Peach Orchard, was held to showcase and promote its cultural and tourism brand. Activities such as spring outings, shopping, entertainment and dining are well organized.
In addition, Tianjin's Wuqing district, Beijing's Tongzhou district, and Hebei's city of Langfang presented a series of authentic folk performances, including dancing, Jingdong Drum and solo Suona (a Chinese woodwind instrument) performance.
Meanwhile, the special product display areas showed the colored paper-cutting of Wuqing, the jade articles of Tongzhou, the Xueji pastries of Langfang and other intangible cultural heritage and agricultural tourism products that are highly popular.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the national strategy for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Under this circumstance, Wuqing, Tongzhou and Langfang also signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation during this event, aiming to continuously promote the exchange of agricultural, cultural and tourism information, as well as resource-sharing among the three regions.
More cultural tourism events are expected to be conducted in Tianjin's Wuqing.
