Tianjin's Wuqing district held a grand light show on May 1 to celebrate the five-day May Day holiday, from May 1 to 5.
Grand Canal Wuqing is the water gateway to and from the capital, Beijing, and is revered as the mother river of Wuqing district. The entire light show focused on the "Grand Canal Culture", interpreting Wuqing's presence in different periods as a transportation hub and a vital waterway for canal transport through the four major development nodes of the Grand Canal.
The light show attracted a large number of locals and visitors from the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, showcasing the unique local culture of Wuqing district.
